Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using The Owner's Manual ("the App"), operated by SafetyLlama ("we," "us," or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The Owner's Manual is a personal reference tool that lets you record and retrieve maintenance specifications, documents, and notes about things you own. The App is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Your Account

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
• You may delete your account at any time from the Account settings screen.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the App. By using the App you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the service. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access other users' data.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the App's source code.
• Use automated means to access the App without our permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Maintenance specifications stored in the App should always be verified against the manufacturer's documentation before acting on them.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice in the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
